SUMMARY:Wellness Program - Falls Prevention Exercises
DESCRIPTION:Falls Prevention Exercise: Consists of forty-five minutes of both seated and standing gentle exercise and stretching to strengthen muscles\, improve balance and mobility aimed towards preventing falls. Followed by ten minutes of relaxation meditation aimed to relax the body\, destress the mind and improve sleep and wellbeing. Once feeling relaxed and rejuvenated we enjoy a lovely morning tea and a chat. Clients are encouraged to work out to their own abilities and to the level they are comfortable with. It is a fun and supportive group setting focused on improving mobility and preventing falls.

DESCRIPTION:Chair Yoga/ Stretching: Chair Yoga/Stretching is held at the Muswellbrook Golf Club on a Monday morning starting at 10.00am. Light refreshments to follow the yoga\, bus will be running to pick clients up from Scone\, Aberdeen and Muswellbrook homes or you can make your own way to the club. We are running this as a six week trial period at a reduced rate of $10 per session which covers the yoga\, light refreshments and bus transport. \nPlease note: Bookings in advance are essential. If you would like to attend any social activities\, please call the office on 6545 3113 and select option 3 for services under the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP). Bookings and payments over the phone must be made no later than the Tuesday before the week of the program. \nChrista Lucano is the contact for the Wellness Program and Christa works on Monday\, Tuesday\, Wednesday and Thursday from 9.30am to 2.30pm. The best day to call Christa would be on Tuesday.
