Be Connected is an Australia wide initiative empowering all Australians to thrive in a digital world. Join thousands of Australians who are taking free courses on everything from how to access the internet, using your device and keeping in touch with others online.
TransCare is a member of the Be Connected Network and we offer support to residents in the Muswellbrook Shire Council and Upper Hunter Shire Council regions who are aged over 50 and looking for assistance with using technology. We hold short courses and workshops free of charge so you can develop your digital skills and confidence.
Our short courses and workshops are delivered in a group environment with digital mentors on hand to assist. There are also a number of learning modules provided by Be Connected that people can work through at home in their own time and at their own pace.
Some of the topics covered include: the absolute essentials of using your devise; getting started online; staying safe online; connecting to others; Wi-Fi and mobile networks; creating email addresses; the world of ‘apps’; and memory and brain teasing skills.
Check our Events page for upcoming courses and workshops or contact our friendly staff for more information.
